The Rainbow Kitchen is run entirely by donation be that food, money, time or effort. We rely on the generosity of the businesses and people in our immediate area to provide the much needed and valued service that we do.

All donations are gratefully accepted.
We attempt to use all food donations in the preparation of the meals. If you have a large quantity of a certain item, a phone call (250-384-2069) to give us an idea of what to expect is appreciated. Otherwise please drop it off before noon Monday to Friday.
There is often some specific items that are needed. Please ask us for a current list. Call: 250.384.2069.
Smaller items we are currently looking for are travel coffee mugs. We are trying to give our regulars these mugs to bring with them each time. This will save on dishwashing.
Currently, we are selling Daal kits for $10.00. Each kit has all the ingredients and spices to make a vegetarian lentil curry dish with basmati rice that serves 6. The Rainbow will receive $5.00 of each kit, the remainder pays for the ingredients and labour to make the kits. Please contact Bernie at the kitchen (250.384.2069) to purchase these kits.
Cash donations are used to buy food and pay for rent, utilities and other supplies. All labour is by volunteer. There are no paid staff.
As of November 25, 2010 Victoria Rainbow Kitchen Society is a registered charity. Registration Number: 81450 4650 RR0001. A tax receipt will be issued for any donation of $10 or more. Cheques should be paid payable to Victoria Rainbow Kitchen Society and mailed to 310 Henry St, Victoria, BC V9A 3J2
